I've made 3 trips to Japan over 2013-2015 (I also did a trip there in 1985 - I've forgotten most things about that one, which was a work trip and only occasional sightings of any birds). My "modern" visits have been mainly focused on collecting data and observations relating to my Grey-tailed Tattler project. However, I do look at other birds whenever an opportunity presents itself, and my Japanese list has now crept into triple figures. Occasional I even manage to photograph some of those birds. There's a selection below (you can imagine how bad the other ones must be). NB I also have more than 1,000 images of Grey-tailed Tattlers in Japan. Eventually I might post some of them onto this website too.
